Treefort Music Festival: March 25 - 29, 2020
Just in case you’ve been hiding under a rock this last decade, Treefort music festival is quickly growing into one of the hottest and biggest events in Boise each year. It started humbly in 2012 with just over 140 bands (mostly small and local bands) to 500 bands in 2020 featuring smash hit artists like Calexico, Chromatics, and Prefuse 73 to name a few. Pick up your tickets here:https://www.treefortmusicfest.com/tickets/.
If music isn’t your thing, or you’re looking for something that is a little out of the ordinary from the typical wild concert, Treefort is still an amazing place to take the family! They have a slew of other events called “Forts” that feature food and activities ranging from gourmet food prepared live by all-star chefs to a curated film festival called “Filmfort.” There truly is something going on for everyone and there are lots of family friendly activities for all to enjoy. Get your fort on!

Located just off of Warm Springs near the Albertson’s corporate campus, the MK Nature Center is a great place to take the whole family for an educational adventure in nature without having to drive outside city limits. You and your family can enjoy (for free) a guided streamwalk tour where you’ll see and learn about the plants and animals that make up Idaho’s amazing ecosystem. Or, if you want something a little different, they are putting on a fun event all about eggs found in nature. It is on Sunday, April 5, 2020 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at their main center off of Warm Springs. Learn more information here: https://idfg.idaho.gov/event/weekend-wildlife-nature-activities-eggs.
At this event, you and your kids will learn all about the different kinds of eggs found in nature and the animals that lay them. There will even be a hunt for natural eggs all around the nature center. This is a perfect companion to Easter celebrations!
